Half a century

Today I've inhabited this planet for half a century.

I'm not sure what to think as I pass what is simultaneously a milestone and just another day.

My callow youth is officially in my wake, and I can only just sense the first wisp of decrepitude waiting for me on the horizon.

I truly don't know whether to celebrate . . .

. . . or mourn this day.

Some of both, I guess, but mostly I'll try to ignore it.

  4. Happy Birthday Hank!!! I tried to text earlier, but remembered later that you're not texting! Then I went to your Facebook page, but it was not available!!! It is too late to call, so I'll try to post here! IN honor of your special day, I rode my bike on the levee and had a pint at the Rivershack in your honor!!!! Not as fun as your last birthday party..... I wish you could have been there, but know that you've been in my thoughts !! Happy Day!!!

  5. Colleen, I'm not a textaholic, but I can be reached that way. I'll send you a separate e-mail with my new cell # (and anyone elese interested in having it, just let me know). I've had this phone a couple of months, and so far I think Teri is the only person in the world who has the number.
